Thank you Karen Blaha for the use of your photo.
It’s time for the second mini-challenge in the “Summer is Flying By” Reading Challenge! Don’t forget: last week’s challenge, It Begins With Summer, can be done at anytime during the challenge (or long after if you stumble across it later).
Remember, the mini-challenges are not a requirement to be eligible for the prize. All you need is a kick-off post linked up before the linky closes and a wrap-up post linked up (linky not posted yet for these) at the end before the deadline for the drawing.
Here is Mini-Challenge #2:
Today’s mini-challenge is to read a book that is not in your typical genre. That’s right, this is a challenge to stretch you a little bit. Reach outside of your comfort zone, and pick a genre you usually don’t read. If you need ideas, do a Google search for types of genres, and see if they have some examples.
Again, this can be a book, eBook, children’s book (your kids would love that), fiction, or non-fiction. We’re not picky! We think the mini-challenges will be fun, and we hope you join in at least some of them. Remember, new mini-challenges come out each Friday. You might want to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the mini-challenges or the finale. The subscription box is over in the sidebar to the right at the top.
You can also blog along the way if you’d like, but please add a link to the comments, so we can come read about your progress and what books you’re reading. We can always use new book suggestions! If you blog about a specific mini-challenge, add a link to the comments for that mini-challenge’s post. For example, if you choose to blog about today’s challenge, come back and link in the comments on this here post. Clear as a book cover?
Now, have some reading fun!!
